How Zurich Insurance works with startups

Launched in 2018, the Zurich Innovation Championship is Zurich's venture client program: startups apply on a rolling basis, selected winners enter a four-month pilot accelerator with a Zurich business unit, and Zurich takes no equity in the startups it works with. Since 2018 the program has drawn more than 10,000 startup submissions, launched over 150 projects in more than 30 countries, and keeps roughly 50 collaborations running at a time.
