How TKMS works with startups
TKMS runs the Canadian Defence & Dual-Use Innovation Ecosystem (CDDE), a Canada-wide network launched in February 2026 that carries defence and dual-use research through prototyping, field trials and certification into deployable products. TKMS acts as venture client, committing early to buy promising technologies from startups and SMBs, and gives them mentoring, test and sea-trial facilities, and access to its supplier network.
