TenneT runs an annual Open Innovation Programme challenge inviting startups, suppliers and market players to submit solutions to a real grid problem (2024: reducing emissions/eco-design of EHV substations); an expert panel selects finalists who get mentoring, a prize, Management Board attention and support to scale, with potential follow-on collaboration.
