How Swissgrid works with startups

Swissgrid co-founded the TSO Innovation Alliance with seven other European transmission system operators to run joint open calls where startups test solutions in real proof-of-concepts across multiple grids. The first open call, launched October 2025, seeks technology for climate-resilient grid planning and extreme-weather forecasting. Applications go through a shared alliance platform rather than Swissgrid alone.
