VSP's in-house Global Innovation Center runs an annual Innovation Challenge with MATTER and Vision Expo where startups pitch eye-care solutions, and has run direct pilots such as validating HUED's cultural competency training, which led to a wider Q4 2024 network rollout. Finalists get bootcamp mentorship and possible investment consideration from Topcon Healthcare's THINC Ventures.
