How Samsung works with startups
C-Lab Outside is Samsung Electronics' external start-up programme, grown out of the in-house C-Lab venture effort that started in 2012 and opened to outside companies in 2018. It is open to start-ups registered in Korea with funding up to Series B, across eight fields from AI to mobility. Selected companies get consulting, a global exhibition slot, up to 100 million won in business support funding, dedicated office space, and free transfer or licensing of Samsung patents. The 2026 cohort raised a combined 34.5 billion won ($23.5m) in follow-on investment.
