How OPmobility works with startups
OPmobility's R&D teams run an open innovation approach that partners with startups on real joint product development rather than only investment; a June 2025 own release documents a completed collaboration with a startup that combined OPmobility's R&D capacity, industrial expertise and client portfolio with the startup's additive-manufacturing process to co-develop a new lightweight battery casing, with start of production targeted around 2030. This route runs partly through participation in an external mobility-focused open innovation platform alongside an in-house Innovation Challenge that funded winning teams for six months with ongoing backing from OPmobility.
