Sonae's retail division MC runs the 'Disrupt Retail' challenge, inviting startups worldwide to pilot retail-tech solutions across its store network. Selected companies receive mentoring from MC's technology and retail experts and can test solutions live in real stores reaching millions of customers. The most recent (fourth) edition, run with other European retailers, focused on in-store operations, retail media, and data analytics.
