How Illumina works with startups
Illumina for Startups is a rolling grant program, run by Illumina itself (distinct from the separately-managed Illumina Ventures Labs investment fund), giving incorporated startups roughly six months of hands-on access to Illumina's MiSeq, NextSeq and NovaSeq sequencing systems and reagents, plus technical advice and experiment-planning meetings with Illumina scientists, to validate genomics-driven business concepts. Applicants apply on a rolling basis via Illumina's grant-competition application and cover their own travel; there is a dedicated startups@illumina.com contact.
