The Digital Gate is a five-year-old innovation initiative run jointly by Athens International Airport and ACE, the incubator and technology transfer office of Athens University of Economics and Business. Startups with a working product or advanced prototype apply, then work with airport executives over several months to refine and pilot their solution in live airport operations. The program ends with a measurable impact assessment rather than a competition-style pitch.
